Iona has a true passion for sport and athletics having competed for Scottish Schools and Scottish Universities. She has gained a first hand understanding about the importance of rehab and injury management through numerous personal injuries sustained during her own competitive career. These experiences inspired Iona to complete her masters degree in Sport Rehabilitation, which has since allowed her to help others return to sport pain-free and achieve their goals.

Sports Injuries

After graduating from her undergraduate degree in Aberdeen, Iona moved to London to complete her masters degree in Sport Rehabilitation at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She then worked with a number of semi-professional sports teams including Wimbledon and Bracknell rugby clubs. Iona also worked in private practice at Perfect Balance Clinic, as a Sport and Rehab Therapist, giving her invaluable experience working with a wide range of patients.

Military Rehabilitation

Since moving back to Scotland in 2020, Iona is currently working for the MOD as an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor, aiming to return service personnel back to full fitness and deployment. Working within sports teams, private practice and the MOD, has allowed her to expand her knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries and the importance of rehabilitation across a broad spectrum of populations.
