Musculoskeletal Podiatry
Musculoskeletal or MSK Podiatry is a specialist area of Podiatry which focuses on the structure and function of a person's feet and lower limbs. Following assessment treatment may include advice, strengthening techniques or custom orthotics.
Custom Made Orthotics
John provides thorough analysis to improve biomechanical weaknesses and functional foot dysfunctions in order to improve gait and sporting performance.
During your assessment he will complete orthopaedic tests, observe your functional movement and analyse your walking or running gait on our in-house treadmill. Following this he will identify areas of mechanical stress and if appropriate he will manufacture custom or semi customised orthoses to offload the tissues involved.

John graduated from Queen Margaret University University in 1998. For over twenty years he has worked in specialist clinics with both elite athletes and the general public in London, Switzerland and Edinburgh.
John is an avid traveller and lover of the outdoors enjoying fishing, cycling and hillwalking. He has a passion for sport and has extensive knowledge of injury management and competition at the elite level - having been an international athlete himself. The experience gained from this is reflected in his approach and management of conditions within his patients' sporting and everyday activities.
